POWERED AND UNPOWERED SITES AVAILABLE

Please sign in and pick up your dash ticket at the Cowshed building. You will need your name or booking number to do this.

UNPOWERED sites are unallocated, and when you make a booking, you are not booking a particular spot. Sites are first in, first served. You are more than welcome to arrive whenever you like, and extend your stay while you are here by talking to someone at the Cowshed (guest numbers and space dependent).

We also have 24 powered sites available.

POWERED sites are numbered, and when you make a booking, you are booking a specific site. Please read the site descriptions in terms of size, and find the most suitable for your set-up. Gravelled sites are all approximately 6m wide, but vary in length. The grassed sites are slightly wider than 6m and vary in length. We only recommend pitching tents on the grassed sites themselves.

Powered sites are situated at the northern end of the camping ground overlooking the sea. Drive around the bend at the rivermouth, and turn right into the driveway past the big flax bushes. Find your numbered site and make yourself at home.

Check in is 12pm onwards, and checkout 12pm for the camping ground.

Also, please note that our kitchen facilities are somewhat simple, so there may be a little longer to wait during Summer (especially during Peak Season, and over Statutory holiday periods), as it can be busy. We recommend you bring your own camping cooker if you can, and if you are self-contained, that you use your self-containment facilities where possible.

Facilities

Free wifi, information display boards and large maps of the area showcasing the many things to see and do in the area, are available in the Cowshed Cafe – the campers lounge, which has been converted from a once operating milking shed!

Pizza bases and toppings are sold separately at the Cafe (Summer only) so you can try cooking your own in the wood-fired Pizza Oven. You are also more than welcome to bring your own pizza bases and ingredients with you. It takes approximately two hours to reach cooking temperature, and you are more than welcome to light it at any time. Collecting driftwood from the beach using the wheelbarrow is much appreciated.

Dogs are welcome as long as they are cleaned up after, and supervised at all times, with their owners being aware that there are Wekas and other bird life to be protected.
